The complete Star Wars Holiday Special (with authentic 1978 ads)

Few things have gone down in notoriety like the Star Wars Holiday Special. Almost unanimously revered as the worst thing ever brought out of the Star Wars canon it was, I think, a sincere attempt to bring Star Wars to Christmas.

Dodging any religious incorrectness, Wookees celebrate Life Day on Kashyyk. watch Harrison Ford struggle manfully to maintain cheer, hope that Uncle Itchy doesn’t beat little cousin Lumpy in front of the cameras. In between the ludicrous schmaltz there is some decent action sequences and if you like the idea of seeing extra Han Solo / Chewbacca footage, Carrie Fisher singing and some season friendly chop socky against Imperial humbuggers then take a look. There’s even a bit of Jefferson Starship. Through the fact that it’s essentially a day in the life of a Wookee family (including a geriatric Wookee getting his jollies watching dancing girls in a hair dryer). Brilliant!

We here at Beyond the Bunker wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Darth Idiots

No fanbase is without it’s lunatic fringe and many would argue that the lunatic fringe starts pretty early among devout Star Wars fans. The coolest perhaps of the Sci-fi cult creators Star Wars is still without a doubt a generator of hilarious nonsense. This time we have a mumbling chubber, a genuinely cheering Trooper dance and Yoda / Ninja baby. These are the Darth Idiots – except the baby. That’s just a baby.

Darth Maul is a seething red and black ball of sadistic evil and malevolent Kung Fu kapowerry. Someone I can only describe as Seth Maul (above) is a mumbling Red and black bulb of silly.

Sometimes it can be said that you can over think things. In fact, the prequels can be pretty much ascribed to a chronic over think of what is a simple subject. Galactic politics and emotional teenage chatter or fighter battles and lost Jedi? Neither. A man in a muddy car boot sale thrusting his crutch to a silly song. Lucas was wrong both times.

Appearing here before – Yoda baby. Formerly Ninja baby. Hey ya!!

Wish I Had A Portal Gun – Aperture Science Rap

I’m away on my honeymoon right now but in order to not shirk my Bunkerly duties, I’ve queued up 10 awesome vids for you dear people. Enjoy!

College Humour have been pretty aggressive at taking down versions of this track on youtube, so hopefully the embed still works by the time you get this. Anyone who’s played Valve’s puzzle-opus will know that once you’ve thought with portals, you can never go back. In this track comedy geek site Dorkly have managed to express the desires of anyone who’s ever wanted to be ‘over there’ without the tiresome need for walking.

Just a warning though, the language is a little creative so it’s perhaps not one for the kids.

Batman Acts Like a Tool, Gets His Ass Kicked

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZfmVx_AupQ&w=560&h=349]

So it seems that Batman was just cruising around the streets, trying his moves on the ladies and wasn’t having a whole lot of luck. So he apparently decided to demonstrate his Bat-Fu on a passer by with…well, just watch and see.

He should have just brought the car. Chicks dig the car.
