Dropping Science: Slow Motion Buzz Saw
We’re used to inventors putting a lot of faith in their inventions but when your invention happens to be a device designed to stop a buzz saw in 1000th of a second when it comes into contact with a human finger, you could forgive the creator for not wanting to put their money where their mouth was. Not so in the case of Steve Gas. He’s so sure of his design that he’s willing to plunge his own finger into a 5000 rpm saw blade in order to prove it works and the Discovery Channel is more than willing to film the whole thing in glorious slow motion.
